I had a wonderful Christmas this year.
I did not bake any Christmas cookies (though I did make a Christmas treat for the sisters I visit teach at church).
The tree was hardly decorated....but there was a tree!
No Christmas lights were hung.
Tommy and I stayed home from going to my sisters 2 hours away on the 23rd with the rest of the family... so I didn't get to see her and her family (including my two cute nephews) for Christmas. Which turned out to actually be a good thing because they all got the flu! I did miss them though!
I decided to just take it easy and focus on all that really mattered anyway... the birth of Jesus Christ! We had a low key, relaxed Christmas with family and friends and it was perfect.
There was also something else I really enjoyed.
There was something very special about being pregnant during the Christmas season. And being just about full-term with a baby boy, much like Mary was right at this time.
I kept thinking about the young Mary and how she must have felt; carrying this baby boy in her belly, knowing he would be the savior of the world, but also her sweet son.

I felt so blessed to be carrying a sweet baby boy in my belly. Though he won't be the savior of the world, he is a child of God and among His most special creations. I hope he always remembers how loved he is by his parents and by his Heavenly Father.
Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year!
XOXO-
P.S. Tommy wanted me to make sure everyone knew what an awesome husband and gift-giver he is for getting me my own Macbook for Christmas. Thanks booboo! =)
